TAEGEUK and PALGWE Poomse (Forms)
Forms, or poomses in Korean language, are a series of defending and attacking movements performed against imaginary opponents in a set pattern. Through the practice of forms, students come to learn the applications of various techniques of TaeKwonDo. Forms serve a multi-dimensional role, aiding in development and refinement of coordination, balance, timing, breath control and rhythm, all of which are essential skills to the TaeKwonDo student.
People of all ages study Tae Kwon Do for different reasons. Self-defense, Discipline, Competition, or basic exercise and coordination are just a few.
There are currently 11 schools that belong to our association. If you have any questions or are interested please feel free to give one in your area a call. If you are not from our area and are interested in Tae Kwon Do, finding a school should not be a problem. Tae Kwon Do is one of the most popular of the Martial Arts.
